Do you have to toss your leafy greens because they are wilted, discolored and soggy?
Produce Tip of the Day: How to Store Leafy Greens!
Don’t leave leafy greens out on the counter and don’t leave them on a shelf in the fridge (I do that a lot, oops)!
Instead, wash them with natural veggie wash, dry them with a salad spinner (make sure they are very dry!), and then place them in the fridge crisper drawer. Line the drawer first with a clean, dry dishtowel, place the leafy greens on the towel, then cover the greens with another clean, dry dishtowel.
Easy as pie, right?
It’s awesome because those leafy greens are ready to go and will last days longer! Here’s to lots of impromtu salads!
