Pumpkin Spiced Latte

brace yourself

It. Is. Here.

Ok, I never used to get excited about pumpkin-spiced-anything, but as I get older I can’t get enough of it! I’m adding it to soaked oatmeal, smoothies and I even bathe in it. No. Not really. That would be going too far.

I have, however, made my very own DIY Pumpkin Spiced Latte.

It is de-lish, let me tell you. And as an added bonus, there’s a dairy-free option as well! Happy Fall, y’all!

Pumpkin Spiced Latte

makes enough for 4-6 lattes in our house, depending on how much milk you use

inspired by Starbucks and The Kitchn

Ingredients

2 cups milk, preferably raw, organic (or homemade coconut milk for dairy-free)
3 Tbsp. pumpkin puree
1 Tbsp. maple syrup
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
pinch of allspice and clove

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat over medium heat on the stove. Wisk ingredients together as the milk heats up.

When the milk is heated and all ingredients are incorporated, let cool for a minute and transfer to the blender. Blend the mixture until frothy.

Pour a cup of coffee and add as much milk as you desire.

To finish, add a dollop of fresh, whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg
